Pictures capture what your wedding looks like, but a film captures what it feels like.
A film captures the little things that you don’t notice in the moment, like parents’ and grandparents’ voices, the subtle expressions on your fiancé's face, and the presence of so many loved ones in the same room. You want a film that you can watch with your children in 30 years, traveling back in time to this important moment in your life.
A documentary wedding film provides a true recollection of your day while allowing you and your guests to enjoy the moment.

Our work
The process
We value your time and know that when wedding planning you want clear details to make informed decisions. You can see our offerings and pricing here.
We don’t want to make you a wedding video. We want to make a documentary about your wedding. Our goal isn’t to make your wedding look perfect. It’s to help you and your loved ones remember exactly what your day really felt like.
First things first
For us, a great documentary film starts with understanding who and what we’re filming. Before the cameras ever come out, we want to understand your story and what moments are most important for us to capture. After you reach out to us, we'll set up a call to hear about your ideal vision for your film.
On your wedding day
On your wedding day, we never make you feel self-conscious by posing you or making you repeat moments. We are simply there as a friendly and calm presence, observing your entire day with our cameras and professional documentary experience. You and your guests get to focus on living in the moment while we capture the feeling of your day.
Creating your film
Don’t like cheesy montages, forced poses, or overly cinematic videos? Great! You’re in the right place.
We offer two different options for your final film: a short-form or a long-form documentary film. Most couples choose the long-form film, which is a feature-length film that captures your entire day, from getting ready, to your ceremony, to your reception. We professionally edit, color grade, and sound mix every single film. We pride ourselves on the craft and quality of our films.
Travel
We are based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but we are willing to travel pretty much anywhere! Get in touch with us to discuss more about travel.
Who we are
We are Ben and Genevieve, a filmmaking duo who also happen to be a couple. We have spent most of our relationship making documentary films together. You can see our projects here and here.
We make true documentary films. We've spent hundreds of hours learning how to capture life as it actually happens, not how to stage it. Ben has worked extensively in documentary editing. Genevieve has many years of experience with documentary cinematography and photography. We both serve on the screening committee for CIFF, an awesome documentary film festival. We understand story, pacing, and how to shape raw footage into a film that feels authentic and true to your experience.
We are total documentary and film nerds. We are both huge fans of observational documentaries and cinema verité: think Grey Gardens, Gimme Shelter, and any documentaries that came out of the French New Wave. We also love analog tech. Genevieve is an avid film photographer and Ben always has a Field Notes in their pocket. If you own any Criterion DVDS... we might just be the people to film your wedding.
When we aren’t making films, you can find us outside hiking and camping, anywhere we get to be somewhere beautiful and spend time with our favorite person in the world! We truly believe we make each other better, and we are the luckiest people in the world to get to work together.
